Domain registered with MacHighway
When you register a domain with MacHighway, the name servers are set to our MacHighway name servers by default. If you are using our Web hosting services, they will not need to be updated.
If you are hosting your services elsewhere, you may need to update the name servers to your new hosts name servers. Luckily, this is easy to do.
First, you will need to log into your MacHighway client area. If you do not know how to access your client area, you can find out here.
Once logged in, proceed to the Domains section. You can access this section by clicking on the Domains block in the center of the page, or by choosing My Domains from the Domains drop down menu at the top of the page.
Find the domain that you wish to update and click on the Active button, on the right-hand side. This will bring you to the domain management page.
You will see the Actions menu on the left-hand side the page. Click on Name servers.
On this page, you will be able to choose whether your domain will use the default name servers or you can enter your own name servers.
Use default name servers
This option will set your name servers to our default name servers:
ns1.machighway.com
ns2.machighway.com
Use custom name servers
If your DNS is hosted elsewhere, you will need to add your name servers here. Your DNS host will need to provide you with the correct name servers.
Domain registered elsewhere
If your domain name is registered with another company you will need to log in to your account where your domain name is registered, delete the current name servers and replace them with these name servers:
ns1.machighway.com
ns2.machighway.com
If you are transferring your domain name registration to us, you will want to update the name servers by contacting your current registrar before initiating the transfer to ensure that there is no downtime for your website or emails.
If you don't remember what company you registered your domain name with, please contact us and we'll do our best to direct you to the correct company.
