You can register domains with MacHighway, even if you do not need web hosting. Here is a guide on how.

Your MacHighway Account
In order to purchase any services from us, you will need a MacHighway account.
Log into your Account
If you already have a MacHighway account, you can log into your account to get started. If you do not know how to access your client area, you can find out here.
Create an Account
If you do not have an account, you will need to create one first. Go to our website at machighway.com and click on the Sign In button in the upper-right corner of the screen. Now click on either the Register button at the top-right of the screen. It will be to the left of the View Cart button.
Fill out the form and check the box at the bottom once you have read and agreed to the Terms of Service. Now click Register at the bottom. Once you have your account set up, you can log into your account and purchase domains.
Registering a Domain
Once you are logged into your client area, you can find a few methods for registering a domain.

On the home page, you will see a block in the center of the screen labeled Register a New Domain. Enter your requested domain name and the field and click Register.

You can click on Register a New Domain in the Shortcuts menu on the left-hand side.

In the top menu bar, under the Domains section, you will see the option to Register a New Domain. Click this to proceed.
If you choose option one, you will now be at the search results for the domain you entered on the home page (see below). Otherwise, you will now be on the Register Domain page, where you can check domain name availability.
Searching a Domain Name
Enter the domain that you would like to check in the field and click the Search button.
Domain Available
If the domain is available, you will get a Congratulations message. Click the Add to Cart button to add the domain.
You will also see a list of recommended domains that you may also want to register. Click the Add to Cart button for any others that you wish to register.
Domain Not Available
If the domain is not available, you will get a list of recommended alternative domain names that are available.
You can choose a domain from this list, or try searching again.
Proceeding to Check Out
Once you have selected a domain, or several domains, the Add button changes to a Checkout button. Click this button to proceed.
Domains Configuration
Next, you will brought to a page where you can add any domain addon services that are available, such as ID Protection, which blocks people from seeing your contact details in the WhoIs database.
You will also be asked to enter the name servers for your new domains. If you're just registering the domain name to be parked or hosted with MacHighway, you can leave the name servers untouched. Click the Continue button to proceed.
Review & Checkout
Before you get to this page, you may get a different prompt, depending on a few factors.
No account
If you have not already created an account, you will be asked to create a MacHighway account now.
Not Logged In
If you are a MacHighway customer but have not logged in to your Client Area before starting, you will be asked to log in now.
Logged In
Once your account is active and logged in, you will be asked to review your order. If you are satisfied with the order, click on the Checkout button to proceed.
Checkout
You will now be on the final checkout screen for purchasing your new domain(s). Review your order and all of your contact information (this contact information will be used for the domain registration).
Choose your payment method and check the boxes once you have read the Terms of Service and read the notification of this being a subscription based service, subject to renewals.
Once you are finished, click the Complete Order button to finish the order process. Once completed, your domain should be available for use.
You can manage your domain and its nameservers in your MacHighway client area.
Please Note: Please ensure that your order is correct and that everything is entered correctly, especially the domain name and the contact email address. If the email address is not correct, you will not be able to verify the domain registration.
Domain registrations CAN NOT be refunded once processed.
