A POP email account is an account that retrieves messages from the server and stores them on your Hard Drive. The advantage to checking emails with POP is that you aren't limited by the space allocated to that email address on the server side, since the messages are removed from the server. The main disadvantage of checking email with POP is that you will only have an archive of your messages and folders on a single computer. If you are checking from multiple computers or devices (such as an iPhone), then you will want to setup your email to check with IMAP. Instructions for that can be found here. To create and check a POP account with the GyazMail application, follow the below instructions:

1. Login to the cPanel for your hosting package, commonly found at http://www.yourdomainname.com/cpanel (yourdomainname.com should be replaced with your actual domain name)

2. Click on the Email Accounts module in cPanel.

3. Scroll down the page until you see a list of your existing email addresses. Click More then Configure Mail Client for the email address you want to setup in the Apple Mail client.

4. On the next screen you will see a list of email programs and methods of checking email. Near the bottom of the page you will see Manual Settings specific to this email address. This will have all of the information you need, less your password.

8. In the E-mail Address field, type your email address.

9. In the Incoming Mail Server field, enter the Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) listed on the Configure Mail Client page in your cPanel.

10. In the Account ID field, enter the Mail Server Username listed on the Configure Mail Client page in your cPanel.

11. In the Password field, type the password that you assigned to this email account.

12. Make sure the Save password box is checked.

13. Under the Outgoing Mail Server section click the Edit button.

14. On the resulting page in the Outgoing Mail Server field, enter the Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) listed on the Configure Mail Client page in your cPanel.

15. Click the drop down box next to Authentication:, select SMTP Authentication. Select Use receiving settings of account: and select your account from the drop down menu.  Press OK.

16. On the resulting page press the OK button at the bottom right of the page.

Congratulations. GyazMail is setup to receive email via POP.
