When do I stop using my temporary URL?

To check if your site is pulling up off our servers, simply type the domain name into a browser. If your site shows up you can stop using the temporary URL. For a more detailed explanation look below:

The temporary webpage URL is listed in your New Account Information email under the FTP (File Upload) Information section.  If you are transferring a domain registration to us or pointing a domain name to us from another registrar, you would use the temporary URL to view your website before your domain name is live on our servers.  The temporary URL points to the same user directory that your site points to.

A domain name is pointed to our servers by updating the name servers listed with the domain name.  It can take up to 72 hours for the new name server information to fully propagate throughout the internet once it's been changed.  That means your ISP or network will update their information sometime within that 72 hours and you will then start pulling your site up from our servers.  Once that happens you can stop checking the site from the temporary URL.
