Post Account Move

Please take note of the two important variables that may need updated on your account.

  1. Your access to cPanel. If you’ve been using the link directly to the server, you will want to update your link or bookmark. You can get access to your cPanel from within your Client Area or you can go to your_domain.com/cpanel, but use your actual domain (e.g. machighway.com/cpanel). If you do not have your cPanel login credentials and cannot access your Client Area, please email our Customer Service team at support@machighway.com to open a ticket and they will help get that information for you. Alternately, you can call us at 1-877-288-3273.

  2. Your access to email. If you’ve been using the server name or the IP address for incoming and/or outgoing mail, you will need to update your settings. If you are using mail.your_domain.com as recommended, you should not notice any changes in your mail services.

Finding Your Server Name - We do recommend using your domain name or mail.your_domain.com in your mail settings when at all possible. For those that are using the server itself for your incoming and/or outgoing server setting (e.g. gil.machighway.com) you will need to update that with the actual server your site is now on. You can find this information listed in the Configure Mail Client link which is listed by all email accounts from within your cPanel.

Finding Your IP Address - We do recommend using your domain name or mail.your_domain.com in your mail settings when at all possible. For those that are using an IP address for your incoming and/or outgoing server setting you will need to update that with your new IP address which you can get by doing a "ping" test on your domain or by logging into your cPanel, clicking on the Statistics icon, then clicking on Server Information and seeing the shared IP address listed.

Please note that using your server name (e.g. gil.machighway.com) and/or IP address will need to be updated for each instance which also includes your FTP settings too.

Also for those clients who use SSH, the new port is 1022.
