The recommended method of whitelisting addresses is only whitelist those valid senders that are caught in your quarantine. If you feel the need to manually whitelist an address, open up your most recent quarantine report and scroll to the bottom of the message where you will find the line:

To View Your Entire Quarantine inbox or manage your preferences, click here

Click on the words "click here" to visit your online quarantine area. At the top you will see two tabs, "Quarantine Inbox" and "Preferences". Click on the preferences tab. You will see two fields, one for whitelisting an address and one for blacklisting an address.

Whitelist / Blacklist fields

To whitelist an address, type the email address into the field under the heading "Allowed Email Addresses and Domains (Whitelist)" and click add. Messages from that address will always pass through the filter from that point on, but will still be filtered for viruses.

To blacklist an address, type the email address into the field under the heading "Blocked Email Addresses and Domains (Blacklist)" and click add. Messages from that address will always be blocked by the filter from that point on. Since Spammers frequently change or forge their email address blacklisting spammer’s addresses is not an effective way of stopping spam. Blacklisting is useful for those particular situations you need to block messages from an address. If a message is in your quarantine the system already thinks it is spam.
