Embed a YouTube video in Concrete5
What You Need:
An Uploaded Video on YouTube

Concrete5 site builder running on your site

1. Go to the video's page on youtube.com. The URL will look something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBLvtzgYtjU&feature=player_embedded or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBLvtzgYtjU

2. Copy the URL of the YouTube page, excluding &feature=player_embedded if present.

3. Go to your Concrete5 site and click Sign In to edit site at the bottom of the page. Sign in with your Concrete5 Admin credentials. 

4. Once logged in, navigate to the page you'd like to embed your movie on.

5. Click "Edit page" on the top left of the page to go into Edit mode.

6. Click "Add to Main" (or "Add to Sidebar", etc.) below the block that you would like to add your movie to. In the resulting menu, click "Add Block".

7. In the "Add Block" menu that pops up, select "YouTube Video"

8. In the title field of the resulting box, enter a title for your video. In the YouTube URL field, paste (control+V) the URL of the video you want to embed (see steps 1 & 2). Click the "Add" button. 

9. Hover over the Editing button on the top left of your screen and select "Publish My Edits" in the resulting window.

Congratulations. You have now embedded your YouTube movie into your page. 


Embed a YouTube video in HTML

What You Need:
An Uploaded Video on YouTube

A text editor
(TextWrangler - external link)

1. Go to the video's page on youtube.com. 

2. On the YouTube page of the video, below the video click the Share tab. Then click the Embed link.

3.  Copy the information in the text field below the word Embed. To copy this, click inside the field so that all of the text is highlighted and press Command and C at the same time.

4. Go into the source code of the page you want the movie to appear on and paste the code in the spot where you want it. To paste, press Command and V at the same time

5. Save and upload your HTML page.

Congratulations. You have now embedded your YouTube movie into your page. 


Embed a YouTube video in WordPress

What You Need:
An Uploaded Video on YouTube

WordPress installed on your site.
(instructions here)

1. Go to the video's page on youtube.com. The URL will look something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBLvtzgYtjU&feature=player_embedded or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBLvtzgYtjU

2. Copy the URL of the YouTube page, excluding &feature=player_embedded if present.

3. Create a new post (or page) on your WordPress site.

4. In the text box where you enter the content of your post (or page), paste the URL where you'd like the movie to go.

5. Publish your post (or page).

Congratulations. You have now embedded your YouTube movie into your post or page.
