Registering only a new domain name

You can register domains with MacHighway, even if you do not need web hosting. Here is a guide on how

Create an Account

If you already have a MacHighway account, you can log into your client area to begin. You can access your client area If you've forgotten your login details, please use the instructions here.

If you do not have an account, go to and click on the Sign In button in the upper-right corner of the screen. Now click on Register at the top-right of the screen.

Fill out the form and click Register at the bottom. Once you have your account set up, you can log into your account and purchase domains.

Registering a Domain

Once you are logged into your client area, you can find a few methods for registering a domain.

On the home page, you will see a block in the center of the screen labeled Register a Domain Name. Enter your requested domain name and the field and click Register.

Alternatively, you can click on Register a New Domain in the Shortcuts menu on the left-hand side.

On the resulting page you can check domain name availability.

If the domain is available, you will get a Congratulations message. Click the Add to Cart button. You will also see a list of recommended domains that you may also want to register. Click the Add button for any others that you wish to register.

If the domain is not available, you will get a list of recommended alternative domain names that are available. You can choose a domain from this list, or try searching again.

Once you have selected a domain, or several domains, the Add button changes to a Checkout button. Click this button to proceed.

You will then be able to add on ID Protection, which blocks people from seeing your contact details in the WhoIs database and delegate the name servers for your domain name. If you're just registering the domain name to be parked or hosted with MacHighway, you can leave the nameservers untouched. Click the continue button to proceed.

If you have not already created an account, on the resulting screen, choose the button next to "I am a new customer and would like to create an account", click the continue button and complete the following screens to establish an account and register your domain name with MacHighway.

If you are a MacHighway customer but have not logged in to your Client Area before starting, you will be asked to log in now.

Once you complete the checkout process, your domain should be available for use. You can manage your domain and its nameservers in your client area.
