While we recognize that this document doesn't account for all situations and needs, it should be enough to get you started.

1. Domain Names

The first step in building your online presence is a good domain name. Your domain name is your name and address on the internet. You want a good name that is easy to remember and is easy to associate with your business.

If you already have a domain name, then you can use our hosting by setting your name servers for your domain name so that your domain name points to your MacHighway hosting space. This is done at your current domain register.

If you do not have a domain name yet, you can purchase one in your MacHighway client area.

2. Email

Another big part of your online presence is domain-based emails. An email account with your own domain not only looks more professional, but it also helps build your domain reputation.

3. Website

Now that you have your domain and emails setup, you probably want a website. A website is pretty much required for any business to survive in our new digital world.

If you are the adventurous or tech-savvy type, there are several tools available for building a website, including WordPress and Joomla. Your cPanel hosting plan includes Softaculous Scripts Installer that includes hundreds of scripts available for building your website.
